Hello, everyone! My apologies for being a little MIA here. As some of you may or may not know, I’m a frontline worker. More specifically, my specialty lies in critical care (ughh I hate saying that lol). I’ll be honest, given the whole situation in the world, I’ve been feeling quite discouraged. Other than what’s going in the world, work had been (and continues to be) tough and whilst I work with amazing people like with every job, things can be busy and/or overwhelming. Not only that, I had a situation that made me question a few things and as a result lost inspiration to read, blog, and go on Bookstagram.
My self-growth tbr
Anyway! After contemplation and reflection, I’ve remembered the importance of practising self-care and the prioritising mental health. One of the particular situation reminded me that I’m always a work in progress and that there’s always something to learn. Moreover, just because you treat people well does not mean that they will do so in turn. Instead, I’ve decided to focus on people and relationships that are nurturing, promoted growth and positivity whilst continually striving to be better (both in character and in skills).
My Self-Growth TBR pile is inconclusive right now. However, here’s my current tbr pile:
- Crucial Conversations
- The Road to Character
- Emotional Intelligence
- The Art of Thinking Clearly
Also, after being away awhile I’ve realised how much I missed and loved the book community.
